Current GTU Actives

Jenna Ingersoll, C'07

Jenna (also known as Fieval) is a junior philosophy major from Hillsborough, NC. She is currently the President of Gamma Tau Upsilon. Spontaneous, loving, and sketchy all describe this chick, who spends her time singing, dancing, working as an assistant librarian at Sewanee, or writing her beloved best friend in Texas. Jenna is always one to embrace her uniqueness and be all that she can be, both inside and outside of the sorority. Her nickname Fieval emphasizes her petite stature, as well as her obvious resemblance to a mouse.

Mary Alice Mathison, C'07

This athletic and attractive girl from Pensacola, FL, didn’t know her fate when she was born over 20 years ago. Lover of music, history, and the beach (but most importantly the color blue!), “Malice” joined GTU in January 2004. Perhaps the word “variety” most accurately describes her because she participates in numerous extracurricular activities in Sewanee including volleyball, basketball, track, FCA, and church activities. Despite her nickname, she leaves you all with the following piece of advice: “Love yourself, be yourself (and love other people too!)”

Raven Oyedji, C'07

TBD.

Amanda Bush, C'08

Appropriately nicknamed “Ambush,” both for the combination of her first and last name and for her strong attraction to the opposite sex, this Nashvegas native graduated from Saint Cecilia Academy, a private, Catholic, college preparatory school for young women owned and administered by the Dominican Sisters. As an undecided major, Amanda is enjoying life on the mountain, living life and loving every minute of it.

Tammy Eastman, C'08

Tammy was born in New England and raised in Texas, and currently living her dreams in Tennessee (with the occasional trip to Colorado or Kentucky). She is highly impractical, incurably messy, enthusiastic to the point of dorkiness, and everlastingly loyal to her friends. Despite her short attention span, this “choir nerd” is in love with learning, and she can be a tyrannical grammar nazi. While she's planning to major in English, she also loves painting, playing the piano, dancing, and generally exploring life.
